How does therapy work?
Therapy starts with an initial interview followed by a few sessions in which we determine the nature of your concerns and consider how therapy may benefit you. This initial phase of therapy is also an opportunity for us to get to know one another and for you to get an idea of my approach to therapy.
I offer short-term, intermediate, and longer-term treatment. Therapy sessions are usually scheduled on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. In some cases, I meet with patient’s twice a week to facilitate coping during an exceptionally stressful period.
