Diagnostic Services
Understanding is the first step forward.
A psychological/neuropsychological assessment is an in-depth review of past and current functioning, including developmental factors, and life events to determine underlying conditions, give you a better understanding of yourself, and help your counselor or medical provider decide about the most appropriate treatment.
"Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we are supposed to be and embracing who we are."
— Brené Brown
FAQs
How does an assessment work?
I use state-of-the-art psychological and neuropsychological tests that shed light on brain functioning, including areas such as attention, concentration, memory, intellectual ability, communication, personality, and emotional problems.
How long does it take?
Depending on the questions to be examined, testing can take between 2 and 6 hours.
What age-groups do you see for diagnostic assessments?
My testing clients are usually 8 years and above. I do not work with very young children.
How will I learn about the results?
After testing is completed, I meet with you to explain the findings and provide you with a written report. It is extremely important to me to explain all findings in a way that helps you understand what they mean for you and to provide you with ideas and recommendations that make a difference.
